On this page you can read the conditions governing the shared shuttle service, including booking procedures, how the transfer works, luggage rules and the main information you should know before departure. Please read these instructions carefully before making a booking.

Terms and Conditions of the Shuttle Service


Through our website www.sanvitobusservice.it we offer a shared transfer service with a capacity from 1 to 8 passengers.

The type of service provided is a shuttle transfer to and from your accommodation. After booking online through the website, the customer purchases one or more seats, depending on needs and availability, on a specific shuttle chosen from those offered according to the scheduled departure or arrival time of the related flight.

The service is not exclusive, therefore the transfer will most likely be shared with other passengers.

Online bookings

We reserve the right to guarantee the service only for bookings made at least 24 hours before the desired date.

a. When two or more people are included in the same online booking, or when the online booking is made on behalf of third parties, the person making the booking, the Customer, shall be considered an agent for the other members of the group, the Passengers, and therefore accepts these service conditions on their behalf as offered by www.sanvitobusservice.it.

b. At the time of online booking, the customer declares and guarantees that all the data provided is true, correct and complete.

c. The booking confirmation, the Transport Voucher, is for all purposes the travel ticket. It must be shown to the driver on a smartphone or tablet before each transfer. The Booking Request, on the other hand, has no validity as a travel ticket.

d. It is the customer's responsibility to check that all the data entered during booking is exactly what they selected. Any anomalies must be reported by e-mail to info@sanvitobusservice.it before the service is carried out.

e. It is the Customer’s responsibility to provide a valid mobile phone number for at least one of the passengers, including the international dialing code where applicable, for any eventuality, since the departure time from the agreed pick-up locations may vary in case of bad weather, heavy traffic or any other reason that may affect the regular operation of the service.

If the passenger does not have a mobile phone, the phone number of the home or accommodation facility where the passenger is staying must be provided.

Any change to the pick-up time will be notified by phone call, SMS and WhatsApp. It is therefore the passengers’ responsibility to check any messages received on their mobile phone.

No bookings will be accepted without at least one telephone contact number.

For pick-ups at airport terminals, please note that drivers are authorized to wait for passengers for a maximum of 60 minutes from the scheduled arrival time.

It is the responsibility of the Customer and/or Passenger to note the phone number of the assigned driver. In the event of timetable changes or boarding delays for departure, in order to avoid losing the transfer, such delay must be promptly reported by phone together with the new expected arrival time.

If there are boarding delays, timetable changes or other reasons that may cause the loss of the transfer, and the Customer and/or Passenger has not contacted San Vito Bus Service or the assigned driver in advance, no refund will be due to the Customer and/or Passenger.

f. All payments made may be refunded only if the service is cancelled by San Vito Bus Service.

g. The legal rights of the Customer may under no circumstances be denied or reduced.

h. These General Conditions are governed by Italian law. For any dispute that may arise between the Customer and San Vito Bus Service, the Court of Trapani shall have jurisdiction.

i. The shared shuttle service is available every year from 1 May to 31 October. Alternatively, the private transfer service remains available all year round.

Luggage

If the Customer is carrying golf bags or bicycles, for which a surcharge may apply, this must be indicated in the appropriate fields during booking.

Each passenger is allowed one suitcase of 10 or 20 kg plus one piece of hand luggage.

Excess luggage is subject to a surcharge of €10.00 for each additional item.

In case of failure to declare such items, we may refuse to transport undeclared objects. We are not responsible for any loss of or damage to such luggage.

Luggage forgotten in the vehicle used for the transport service will be sent to the address provided by the Customer at the Customer’s own expense.

San Vito Bus Service will do its best to meet any special requests entered by its Customers in the appropriate field, but is under no obligation to do so.

Transport

a. Smoking and consuming any type of food are not permitted on board the vehicles of www.sanvitobusservice.it and its suppliers.

Any offender will be charged a penalty of €20.00, to be paid directly to the driver at the end of the journey.

If, even after being warned by the driver, the passenger continues such conduct, the driver shall be authorized to stop the journey and ask the passengers who violate the provisions of point a of this paragraph to get off the vehicle.

b. Drivers may refuse to transport anyone who may be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and/or whose behavior is considered threatening to the driver, the vehicles or the other passengers.

c. It is not permitted to bring alcoholic drinks or drugs into the vehicles with the intention of consuming them.

d. All vehicles are duly insured for third-party liability in accordance with current regulations.

e. The transport of pets, dogs or cats, is allowed only if they travel in an appropriate pet carrier. The pet carrier must have a maximum size of 50x40x30 cm. A surcharge of €10.00 each way applies for each animal transported, subject to prior notice.

Cancellations, changes, refunds

a. Booking cancellation may only be made by e-mail to info@sanvitobusservice.it and will always be confirmed by e-mail.

The cancellation must be received at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time of the service.

If you do not receive a cancellation confirmation by e-mail from one of our operators, the service shall be considered confirmed.

b. If the customer does not receive the cancellation confirmation e-mail, it is their responsibility to contact our assistance service by phone.

c. Any complaints must be submitted in writing by e-mail to info@sanvitobusservice.it within 7 days from the date the service was carried out.

d. No refunds are issued for payments made online via PayPal, online credit card or bank transfer.

e. For bookings whose cancellations are not made within the time limits set out in point a of this paragraph, the customer shall still be required to pay for the service via payment link or bank transfer.
